City illegal gamblers rounded up

Papa NAGA CITY--- With President Duterte’s directive to the police to run after operators of illegal gambling, the Naga City Police Office has so far netted 6 persons for playing cara y cruz, soliciting jueteng bets, and collecting bet money for PBA’s so-called ‘ending’ game. Nabbed were John Carlo Calising and Ian Lamar while playing cara y crus, a toss coin game in Bgy. Sabang last Feb. 10. Also collared for playing cara y cruz was Hector Reverente in San Rafael, Bgy. Cararayan last Feb. 13. On Feb. 17, one Lazaro Masaga was caught in Bgy Cararayan while in possession of cellphone that more messages about jueteng bets and transactions. Also on Feb 17, two women were brought to Police Station Number 3, identified as Winafreda Obal and Emerlita Salvador after they were nabbed collecting bet money for PBA’s ending game at Clupa in Bgy. Calauag. Confiscated from the two women were bet money amounting to P1,954.
