RIVER DAY


RIVER DAY. Participated in by students, teachers, businessmen, barangay and city officials, the 3rd Naga River Day was celebrated March 11 with a host of activities that highlight the importance of the river as chamber of life and part of culture and history of the Bicolanos. These activities included dispersal of tilapia fingerlings and bokashi balls – the latter to neutralize toxic wastes within the river – free boat rides, poster and slogan making contest, and the signing of the pledge of commitment as stakeholders’ part in sustaining and nurturing a healthful life for the river.
