Naga police continue drive vs illegal drugs, more suspects fall

Papa NAGA CITY--- The Naga City Police Office reported the arrest of 187 suspects involved in illegal drugs since the “Double Barrel Alpha Reloaded” was relaunched last March 6 by the present administration. Of the total number, 97 were identified as drug users while 90 were considered as drug pushers.. Reports from the Police Station No. 1 located at the Plaza Quezon in downtown Naga said 8 drug pushers and 32 drug users were collared in barangays Abella, Sta Cruz, Igualdad, Sabang, Dinaga, and San Fransisco. Police Station No. 2 based in Concepcion Pequena (near the rotunda) netted 37 drug pushers and 25 drug users from barangays Del Rosario, Concepcion Grande, Concepcion Pequeña, Magsaysay, Triangulo, Lerma, Mabulo, and Tabuco. Police Station No. 3 which is based in Peñafrancia Avenue nabbed 43 drug pushers and 40 drug users in the barangays of Peñafrancia, San Felipe, Calauag, Bagumbayan Sur, Bagumbayan Norte, and Sitio Queborac. Their latest anti-illegal drugs operation was the search warrant in Isla Sagrada Familia nearby Peñafrancia Shrine last Friday morning which is issued by the Executive Judge of Regional Trial Court 5th Judicial Region Branch 21 Honorable Pablo Cabillan Formaran III last March 22, which cooperated by the Naga City Police Office (NCPO), Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 5 (RDEU5), City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), City Public Safety Office (CPSC), NCPO SWAT Team, City Illegal Drugs Management Board (CIDMB), and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office V (PDEA ROV). Police operatives armed with search warrants raided suspected lairs in Isla Sagrada Familia (a notorious haven for drug peddlers and buyers) and flushed out the following suspects: Ronnie “Diko” Santos, Christine “Kimba” Reafor, John Michael “Jan-Jan” Bien, Remegio Marco Rapal, John Larry “Jay” Cuaño, Marvin Badilla, Justine Lacsina, and John Carmeno Cuaño. Recovered from them were 57 pieces of transparent plastics containing shabu (Metamphetamine Hydochloride), an illegal drug, 4 rolled aluminum foils, improvised tooter, 1 unit of digital weighing scale, 3 units of cellular phones, 5 lighters, and cash worth P23,650. Meanwhile, Police Station No. 4 in Brgy. Cararayan recorded only 2 drug pushers arrested and no suspected drug user collared. The police station covers the barangays of Balatas, Cararayan, San Isidro, Panicuason, and Pacol.
