Announcement: APPEAL FOR SUPPORT (for MT. MAYON VICTIMS)

To All PARISH PRIESTS, Superiors of Religious Communities Heads of Catholic Schools Peace! We are all aware of the continuing eruption of Mt. Mayon, and the many evacuees (more than 100,000) displaced and suffering from the havoc of Mt. Mayon. The Diocese of Legaspi, through its Social Action/Caritas Legaspi is very much involved in assisting the evacuees and providing the basic needs of the displaced families. In the spirit of solidarity and communion, I enjoin all parish priests, Religious communities and Catholic Schools to support the Diocese of Legaspi in their immediate assistance to the evacuees and displaced families. I enjoin all parish priests to make a second collection for this purpose. Your kind conttibution can be sent to the Office of the Economus through Fr. Eugene Lubigan for proper acknowledgement and receipts, and with the assurance that the contributions will be sent to His Excellency Bp. Bong Baylon, Bishop of Legaspi.
