JCI Cariñosa holds 25th induction at Avenue Plaza
NAGA CITY --- JCI Cariñosa of Naga City gathered last February 3, 2018 at the La Piazza Hall of the Avenue Plaza Hotel for the 25th Induction of their new members and newly-elected officers and directors. The silver event was graced by Vice-President Leni G. Robredo, who is also a proud member of the Jaycees. The affair was also graced by the JCI National President, Rey Felix C. Rafols and JCI Area Vice-President Kerby Javier Salazar were also in attendance. During the program, several notable social projects were highlighted, specifically the Angat Kabuhayan project of the Office of the Vice President. (The JCIs consistently help the projects and initiatives of the OVP such as the Istorya ng Pag Asa, where it played an active role.) The JCI Cariñosa inducted the new set of officers, spearheaded by Russell Pua Tan as new president. The function room was charged with enjoyment as the new president showed a special audio visual presentation that accompanied her speech. She then delivered witty and impromptu remarks, even became sentimental, making the momentous turn-over rite very delightful and memorable. The official roster of the 2018 JCI Cariñosa Board of Directors are: Russell Pua Tan – President, Marijol Santos - Immediate Past President, Chary Delos Santos - Executive Vice-President, Joie Everette Peñaranda – VP for Internal, Sharon Breis Manzano – VP for External, Marianne Perez Gomez - Secretary General, Sharon Dizon - Treasurer, Doreen Foo - Auditor, Sigrid Peralta-Emralino - Commissioner for Individual, Niña Gregorio - Commissioner for Community, Peñafrancia Amoroso - Commissioner for Internal Affairs, Reina Peñafrancia Rosin-Zaens - Consultant for Individual, Maria Narnie Nerva-Pelonio - Consultant for Community, Eleanor Zuñiga-Montemayor - Consultant for Business, Ma. Lourdes Bonita - Consultant for International Affairs, Mygee Nieves-Sacaben - Legal Counsel, and Liezl Alfonso - Regional Vie-President. Together with the other members from different JCI chapters in Bicol, the induction ceremony also welcomed the 25 new members of the JCI Cariñosa. The charging of new members was done by the newly elected JCI Naga Cariñosa President Tan and witnessed by JCI National President Rey Felix Rafols, Naga City Vice Mayor Nelson Legacion, and of course, VP Robredo. The JCI Senators, a host of past JCI Cariñosa Presidents, and special guests, were also present to witness the colorful ceremony. The new set of JCI Cariñosa officers vows to make the JCI Cariñosa a dynamic team behind new and more socially-relevant projects throughout their term. The Junior Chamber International Philippines (JCI) aims to “contribute to the advancement of the global community by providing opportunities for young people to develop leadership skills, social responsibility and fellowship necessary to create positive change.”
