14 Couple Volunteers undergo training with Caceres Family Ministry
The Family Ministry of the Archdiocese of Caceres hosted a two-day Facilitator’s Training for the Marriage Encounter Program last April 7-8 at the Holy Rosary Major Seminary. Headed by a two-couple Team, Rommel–Tina Bagtas and Ritchie–Patty Cuadra of the Marriage Encounter Foundation of the Philippines, Inc., 14 Couple volunteers from the different vicariates of the Archdiocese attended, majority of whom are products of Marriage Encounter formations. The volunteers will be commissioned to introduce a concised program of the Marriage Encounter weekend designed as “Couple Power–Lakas ng Mag-asawa” for all the parishes in the Archdiocese. An envisioned program of Fr. William Santiago, Director of the Caceres Family Ministry, it is a follow-up program of the existing Pre–Cana Seminar for would be couples. The program is designed to be a key tool that will accompany couples in their marital journey - focusing on self–discovery, understanding mutual relationship thru regular couple dialogues in an atmosphere of empathy, and developing a strong relationship with God. The beauty of dialogue between spouses, aware of the presence of God, is key to a strong marital relationship that benefits not only family life but more importantly, the formation of the core unit of the Church and society.
