Gunay NAGA CITY --- Two Grade 6 pupils— Neil Manuel Manaog and Franc Victor Ocbian— both of the Naga Central School II (NCS II), went home with a bronze medal each from the Singapore International Math Olympiad Challenge (SIMOC) 2018 Math Olympiad Contest. The competition, which concluded last July 8, 2018 in Singapore, was participated in by 18 other countries. The two students already won Bronze medals also in Asian Schools Math Olympiad (SASMO) 2018 last April which allowed them to compete in the SIMOC 2018. The two Math wizards were given honors during the flag-raising ceremony at city hall led by City Mayor John G. Bongat Monday morning. Ramil Pederio, the NCH teacher who served as coach to Neil Manuel and Franc Victor, said the triumph showed the capability of Naga students, including those coming from public schools, to compete and win in international academic competitions.
