LEGAZPI CITY --- Anti-narcotics operatives nabbed on Tuesday night a lady drug pusher in possession of suspected “shabu” or crystal meth worth P340,000 during an anti-drug operation in a hotel parking area in Daet, Camarines Norte, a Philippine National Police (PNP) report said yesterday.
Jazel Ponayo, 27, single, of Barangay Gahonon, Daet was arrested while peddling the illegal drug to a policeman posing as buyer at around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to Police Chief Inspector Maria Luisa Calubaquib PNP Bicol spokesperson.
The suspect was a high-value target (HVT) in the rolls of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) drug watchlist, according to Cotton Yuson Talento, PDEA Bicol Information Officer.
The buy-bust took place at a parking lot in Villa Mila Hotel in Barangay Gohomon, Daet town, Talento said.
Joint elements of the Daet police force and PDEA seized from the suspect a total of 50 grams of suspected shabu packed in several sealed plastic sachets.
The suspect is now detained at the Daet PNP station where charges of illegal drug peddling and possession are being readied against the suspect.
