Notorious suspect arrested with P136K shabu in Sorsogon

By Mar Serrano LEGAZPI CITY --- Anti-narcotics operatives collared a suspected high-value target (HVT) drug pusher and seized P136,000 worth of suspected shabu or crystal meth during an operation Monday afternoon in Barangay San Vicente, Bulan town in Sorsogon, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said on Tuesday. Marites Ervas was arrested by PDEA operatives while selling suspected shabu to an undercover drug operative in Purok 6 of said barangay at around 5:10 p.m. Monday, according to Christian Frivaldo, PDEA acting regional director. Frivaldo said in a phone interview that the suspect, who was caught with 20 grams of suspected shabu, is No. 3 on PDEA’s provincial watch list. Frivaldo also said Ervas is a local drug distributor and leader of an illegal drug group operating in the 2nd district of Sorsogon.
