LEGAZPI CITY --- Police operatives rounded up on Thursday at least eight illegal drug personalities in separate anti-illegal drug operations in three Bicol provinces, a Philippine National Police (PNP) report said on Friday.
Police Chief Insp. Maria Luisa Calubaquib, PNP Bicol spokesperson, said the intensified campaign against illegal drugs carried out on Thursday one town in Camarines sur, another in Camarines Norte and a drug peddler Albay also resulted in the confiscation of several sachets of suspected shabu and other drug paraphernalia.
In Baao, Camarines Sur at least four suspected illegal drug users were caught while in a drug session at around 5:50 a.m. Thursday inside a house in Barangay Sta. Teresita.
Arrested were Alan Bigay, 35 years old, married, together with Aldrin Villamer, 20 years old, single, Reymar Magistrado, 35 years old, single; and Jake Bedural, 20 years old, single. They are all residents of the said barangay.
Confiscated at the residence of Bigay were four sachets of suspected shabu, including drug paraphernalia.
In separate incident, police operatives armed with a search warrant collared at around 6:30 a.m. Thursday one Jose Florendo, 57, married, resident of the same place. Seized from his possession were five plastic sachets of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia,
In another raid, Jonathan Sinfuego, 45, married, also of Barangay Sta Teresita, Baao town, was arrested. Confiscated from him were two plastic sachets of suspected shabu and illegal drug paraphernalia.
In Mercedes, Camarines Norte, Noli Arizabal Jr., 41, single, fisherman, of Barangay Manquisoc was collared at around 9:30 a.m. Thursday. Three plastic sachets of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia were seized from the suspect.
In Pio Duran, Albay, Andres Aquino, 37, married, a fish vendor of said town, was arrested after a buy-bust operation at around 10:40 a.m Thursday, in Barangay Banawan.
Confiscated from him were five plastic sachets of suspected shabu, including drug paraphernalia.
