Baao Parish celebrates Feast of St Peter Baptist with the PWD and Senior Citizens
Last February 6, the feast of the patron of the Archdiocese of Caceres and founder of Baao Parish, St Peter Baptist, Archbishop Rolando Tria Tirona, OCD celebrated the mass with almost 350 Senior Citizens and PWD.
St Peter Baptist who once worked as a missionary in Baao at around 1584 was honored by the parish. According to Fr Louie Occiano, the parish priest, the senior citizens are the recipients of the catholic faith in Baao and are living images of St Peter as they themselves share the faith to the young generations. The Rotary Club of Naga sponsored also the event by donating wheelchairs and suprise gifts to some pwd’s and seniors. Dra. Chona Blemonte also gave a talk on Generativity among elders. Part of the celebration was also the blessing of the newly renovated sacristy and the grand draw of the parish pa raffle.
