BACACAY, Albay -- The management of Misibis Bay Resort here has vehemently denied allegations that link the luxury hotel to illegal drug activities.

Carlo Librea, cluster general manager of the resort, in an interview on Tuesday said the video entitled “Ang Totoong Narcolist (The True Narcolist) Episode 5 by Bikoy” that is circulating online and showing Misibis Bay as headquarters of a drug syndicate in Bicol is absolutely false and baseless.

“The room being questioned is being occupied by guests since 2017. Basically, all allegations are not true,” he said.

“The management and staff have never been involved in any drug-related activity. As a first class, family-oriented tourist facility, Misibis Bay resort is open to the public,” Librea said.

He noted that there is no basement in any of the hotel’s buildings, contrary to claims that a particular basement inside the facility is being used as drugs laboratory.

“The management of Misibis Bay resort is coordinating with proper authorities to unmask and file appropriate and legal charges against the brains behind this fake and libelous video,” he added. Librea feared that the allegations will affect their tourist arrivals.

“We would like to assure our guests and loyal patrons that the resort’s operations remain normal, our friendly hotel management and staff shall endeavor to meet clients’ expectations and make every dream vacation come true,” he said.
