FALSE REPORT

This multi-million peso main building of the 2nd engineering district of Camarines Sur that covers both the 2nd and 3rd congressional districts of the province looks complete, but in reality it is not. In fact, complaints have been received that such project has been reported “100% completed last October 2018.” A check by this paper yesterday morning showed workers still rushing up work to complete the project in many parts of the building inside the DPWH compound, as shown in these photos taken yesterday. The misleading report of completion, apparently a misrepresentation, is allegedly tantamount to graft and corrupt practices that may reveal that with such report of completion, expenses and contract works may have already been paid or expended in full, while actual work had not yet been completed. Surely, the complaint said, District Engineer Rebecca Roces has a lot of explaining to do. “If this [false, deceitful report] can be done inside the compound of the DPWH, what more for projects located far away from the aforesaid office?” concerned persons asked.
