Live-Streaming of all Peñafrancia Activities, Cccom and Ceppio Join Forces

In today’s world, it is easier to spread important news and significant events in realtime due to the advent of internet and social media. For the recent past years, the celebrations of Penafrancia Fiesta in Naga has been viewed by many Bicolanos abroad in social media. Live streaming the feast of INA is becoming surprisingly common and for various good reasons. Due to advancements in technology, many devotees can now follow all the happenings in the Pilgrim City of Naga. The growing devotion to our INA has never been widely promoted than before. INA is all across the world with only a bit of equipment and a stable internet connection.

This year, the celebration of the feast of Our Lady of Penafrancia will be fully covered by live streaming - reaching wider audience and this hopefully better coverage due to the partnership of the city and the church. The Archdiocese of Caceres, through the Caceres Commission on Communications and the Naga City’s CEPPIO (City Events , Protocol and Public Information Office) are working together to transmit all the events that will take place during the feast of Our Lady of Penafrancia.

The partnership includes sharing of human resources (mostly BicolLente volunteers) as well as technical expertise and equipments. With the help of DCTV Cable Broadband Services, the quality of the coverage will be assured. The output will be accessible through the FB Page of the Archdiocese of Caceres (https://www.facebook.com/ArchdioceseOfCaceres/) and Naga City Smiles to the World https://www.facebook.com/NagaSmilesToTheWorld/. Both parties agreed to cover in full the Traslacion Procession (September 13) and the Fluvial Procession (September 21). Aside from the two major Penafrancia Activities, the live coverage begins as early as September 3, at 5:00pm with the Mass of Archbishop Rolando Tirona with the Caceres Clergy then the transfer of the Divino Rostro from the Basilica to Penafrancia Parish. All novena masses in Penafrancia Parish Church in honor of Divino Rostro and also Novena Masses in honor of Our Lady of Penafrancia live in Metropolitan Cathedral, will all be aired live online.

Moreover, the PIXILED Solution will be providing LED walls at the Cathedral and Basilica grounds so that devotees who are waiting for the arrival of the images of INA adn the Divino Rostro will also witness the ongoing processions.

Indeed, in today’s digital age, we need to maximize our resources and offer our talents so that our devotion to INA and our faith to her Son, will be shared to the whole world especially to our kababayans abroad.
