Execom, civic, various committees activated for the Peñafrancia fiesta

NAGA CITY --- In order to provide better handling of all the city government-sponsored Peñafrancia activities and to ensure that peace and order situation is maintained while the city is celebrating the country’s biggest Marian festival, Mayor Nelson S. Legacion reconstituted the Peñafrancia Festival Executive Committee and the groups that have been assigned to supervise the holding of civic events.
Based on Executive Order 2019-022, this year’s Peñafrancia Festival Civic Events Executive Council shall be composed of the city mayor as chairman; City Vice Mayor Cecilia V. De Asis, vice chairman; City Councilor Jose C. Rañola, Naga City People’s Council Chairperson Danilo Ludovice and all the event and support committee chairpersons as members.
To ensure effective and efficient management and coordination in the conduct of each civic event, committees and support groups with respective chairmanships were also formed.
The Miss Bicolandia Beauty Pageant Committee will be headed by Rañola as chairman along with City Councilor Jose B. Perez as vice chairman; Gil A. De la Torre, secretary to the Sanggunian, as secretariat head, and Electronic Data Processing Unit chief Ansel Maño as head of tabulation group.
The Civic Parade and Float Competition Committee will be chaired by City Councilor Elmer S. Baldemoro with CEPPIO Acting Dept. Head Allen Reondanga.
Will serve as chairman of Scouts Parade and DXMC/DBL/DLC Committee is City Councilor Joselito S.A. Del Rosario with ESSO Head Ernani B. Suron, vice chairman.
The Regional Band, Majorettes and Fancy Drill Competition/Regional Military Parade Committee will be chaired by City Councilor Salvador M. Del Castillo with Del Rosario as vice chairman.
Peñafrancia Voyadores Festival Street and Pilgrims Dance Competition Committee: Suron as chairman, DepEd Education Program Supervisor Jobert Narvadez, vice chairman; Maño, tabulation.
The Sponsorship and Finance Committee will be headed by Reondanga as chairman; City Accountant Paciencia SJ. Tabinas, vice chairman; and Zayda Fe Rifareal of CEPPIO, co-vice chairman.
Police Colonel Felix N. Servita, NCPO city director, will head the Public Safety and Peace and Order Committee with PSO Executive Director Renne F. Gumba as vice chairman.
Venue arrangement: Acting City Engineer Alexander Caning, chairman; General Services Officer Arthur F. Abonal, vice chairman.
For Public Information and Media Relations: Reondanga as chairman; PIA Provincial Head Ana-Liza S. Macatangay, co-chairman; and CEPPIO administrative I Armie B. Gunay as vice chairman.
Medical services: Dr. Vito C. Borja III, city health officer, chairman; Dr. Joseph Sanchez, NCH chief of hospital, vice chairman; CDRRMO chief Ernesto B. Elcamel, co-vice chairman.
Communication committee: CDRRMO Operations Officer Renee Absalon E. Abiada, chairman; Kabalikat’s Archimedes Salvino, vice chairman; CPRFMO chief and ACES Radio Group Representative Francisco Paulo Pastor S. Lim, co-vice chairman.
Tourism services committee will be chaired by ACTO head Alec Francis A. Santos as chairman while the cleanliness and transportation group will be headed by SWMO chief Engr. Joel P. Martin as chairman with Caning as vice chairman.
The executive order said that committee heads are authorized to appoint their respective committee members, either from the government or private sector, and to create sub-committees. Acting City Administrator Francisco M. Mendoza is the designated executive director of the council who is tasked to ensure the implementation of policies and directives issued by the council.
