Art exhibit to highlight Bicol River

October 3, 2019

NAGA CITY---The 416 Art Gallery will be spearheading an art exhibition before the year ends  that will underscore the importance of the Bicol River and its relevance to environment care and cultural enrichment.

Earlier last September 29, an advocacy group “Sulog”, where art curator and artist Dennis Gonzaga is a member, organized a River Walk which was participated in by young Bicolano artists from various colleges and professional groups from the city and other places in the region.

The organizers hoped to translate the river walk experience into art pieces, such as paintings, poems, sculpture, and other forms of art, for exhibition and publication.

The Art Walk was actually began in 2016, in support of environmental advocacies and potting premium on the cultural value of both the Naga and Bicol Rivers.
