Husband files raps vs wife for killing daughters

BASUD, Camarines Norte --- The housewife who hacked her three daughters to death on Wednesday, May 20 in Barangay Pinagwarasan here has been charged with three counts of parricide case filed by her husband, the police said.

To recall, Joan Magistrado, 28, reportedly hacked her three daughters to death with a bolo. The victims were five years old, one year and eight months old, and the youngest was four months old.

The suspect was allegedly suffering from post-partum depression when she killed her daughters.

Ace Magistrado, the victims’ father discovered the lifeless bodies of his daughters and his wife who stabbed herself in the stomach.

The children were pronounced dead on arrival at the Camarines Norte Provincial Hospital, while their mother is confined in the same hospital for medical treatment.

Police Capt. Eva Guiruela, Basud police chief, said that they already filed three counts of parricide case against the suspect at the provincial prosecutor’s office.

She said that there is no bail recommended for the temporary liberty of the suspect.

The suspect will be temporarily detained at the Basud police station after her hospital confinement.
