Archbishop pays tribute to livestream frontliners

NAGA CITY – Exactly three months since the start of Online Masses in the Archdiocese of Caceres, Archbishop Rolando J. Tria Tirona paid tribute to the ‘Media Frontliners’ who were part of the daily Live Broadcasts of Eucharistic Celebrations and Devotions in the time of the Covid-19 Pandemic.

In a thanksgiving dinner at the Archbishop’s Residence on Sunday, 14 June, the Archbishop expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to the members of the various ministries who voluntarily rendered their selfless service to the People of God in the Archdiocese. Certificates of Appreciation were also awarded to each member of the CCCom Live Broadcast Team, CCCom Social Media Managers, Liturgy and Altar Servers, Lectors and Commentators, and the Sisters of the Little Mission of the Deaf Naga Community who served as sign language interpreters.

The daily broadcast of Online Masses by the Caceres Commission on Communications began on 14 March 2020 with the suspension of the conduct of Public Masses in the Archdiocese due to the implementation of the Enhanced and General Community Quarantines. With the resumption of public masses in the Archdiocese on 01 June, the live broadcast of Online Masses was gradually reduced until its conclusion. Live Online Masses, however, will still be broadcast on Sundays, at 06:30 am, and 05:00 pm.
