Escudero inaugurates new P170-M PNP bldg in Sorsogon
SORSOGON Gov. Francis “Chiz” Escudero has inaugurated on Tuesday, Oct. 20, the new P170-million Philippine National Police (PNP) Sorsogon Police Provincial Office (SPPO) building in Sorsogon City where during the ceremony, he urged the PNP to accelerate the peace and order campaign following the recent attacks by the New People’s Army(NPA)in some towns of the province.
Escudero said that with the construction of the modern building, which was funded during his term as senator, he expects PNP to provide better and efficient service to the public.
The new building was erected on a more than two-hectare lot inside Camp Salvador Escudero, Sr., along Magsaysay Street in Sorsogon City.
The provincial chief executive with Police BGen Bartolome Bustamante on Tuesday led with other local and regional official the inauguration of the new three-story edifice of the SPPO at Camp Salvador Escudero Sr., named after the grandfather of the governor. In response to Escudero’s challenge, the Bicol police chief promised that his men will do their best to serve and protect the people of Sorsogon.
