Policemen nab eight in anti-illegal drug opns

LEGAZPI CITY --- Police anti-narcotics operatives rounded up on Monday eight alleged notorious illegal drug peddlers in separate drug stings in Bicol, reports reaching police regional office said on Tuesday.

The drug stings yielded 35 sachets of suspected shabu (crystal meth), a 12 gauge shotgun, two .38 caliber revolvers, according to Police Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib Bicol police spokesperson.

Calubaquib said four of the arrested suspects were from Camarines Sur, and one each from Albay, Camarines Norte, Catanduanes, and Masbate.

In Camarines Sur, police arrested in separate drug operations were Loreto Morano, 52 a high-value target (HVT)of Barangay Mabolo, Naga City, Ramon Cultivo aka Mon, 33 of Barangay Talojongon, Tigaon town, John Mark Nolo, 40, of Baao town, and Marwin Larcena, 29 of Iriga City. The drug operation seized a total of 15 sachets of shabu from the suspects.

In Virac, Catanduanes, Leonard Avila, 39, a HVT, was caught selling shabu in Barangay Rawis at around 4:30 p.m., the suspect yielded 10 sachets of shabu.

In Sta Elena town, Camarines Norte arrested Roderick Combalicer, 44 of Barangay Basiad. Police seized from the suspect at his residence at around 10 p.m. were nine sachets of shabu, a shotgun, and a .38 handgun.

In Oas, Albay, Daniel Rayel Bedaña aka Bors a HVT was nabbed while selling three sachets of shabu at around 5:55 p.m in Barangay San Vicente.

In Masbate City, police arrested in a drug sting at around 12:20 p.m. in Tiongson Subd., Barangay Ibingay was Reymars Mahinay aka Nonoy, 32 of Barangay Bagumbayan, the suspect yielded three sachets of shabu.
