PRC marks 75th year in Naga

NAGA CITY --- The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) Camarines Sur Chapter celebrated its 75th founding anniversary, on Sunday, April 15 at the Plaza Quezon, here.
This year’s anniversary is pinned with the theme, “Tribute to Humanity, “PRC that is Always First, Always Ready, Always there in Service for Humanity.”
This activity served as the commemoration of the progress and development of the organization as it provided volunteer works and services throughout the years in the city, and in the province of Camarines Sur.
A series of simultaneous activities took place during the anniversary program. It included Zumba fitness, blood donation drive, health and hygiene promotion, handwashing demonstration and Red Cross 143 recruitment and orientation.
There was also first aid lecture and demonstration, different booths for merchandisers, sponsors, and free haircut.
The fundraising activities called “Tara Nay, Tawa Tayo!” and “Share Love, Save Lives Raffle” were also launched on the same day. This aimed to appreciate their stakeholders through the years of humanitarian service to the country.
Various volunteers from different towns and chapters, board of directors, performers, partners and sponsors were present during the anniversary. (With reports from Janin San Jose, Camaligan National High School-PIA5/Camarines Sur)
