UNC Holds Kick-off Program for the Year-long Diamond Jubilee
The first University in Bicol is soon-to-be a Diamond University. On the historic day of April 20, 2022, the University of Nueva Caceres community was one in making history and marking history. This memorable and meaningful milestone event formally welcomes our 75th Foundation Anniversary Celebration in February 2023. The UNC Diamond Jubilee Kick-Off Program started our year-long festivity that ushers UNC’s great, grand, and glorious Diamond Jubilee.
Unveiling the UNC Diamond Jubilee Markers
The UNC community gathered onsite and online for the ceremonial unveiling and dedication of the monumental UNC Diamond Jubilee Markers. Capturing yesterday, today, and tomorrow, these beautiful markers serve as chief reminders of the purposeful past, prominent present, and promising future of the University of Nueva Caceres. These monumental UNC Diamond Jubilee Markers immortalize and memorialize the vision of one of the finest sons of Bicol, Dr. Jaime Hernandez Sr. Almost 75 years ago, UNC’s Founding Father and First President, Don Jaime founded the University of Nueva Caceres - his gift to Bicol. We take great pride in another milestone in the glorious journey of UNC from what it was, what it is, and what it can be - the top university of choice for Bicolanos everywhere and a rising university of the future. To luminate the legacy and magnify the history of UNC on a high note, we rolled the Diamond Jubilee Kick-off Campus Parade.
Celebrating The President’s Day
To keep the winning momentum of the historic April 20 milestone, UNCeans gladly honored the lady we lovingly call the Captain and Commander-in-Chief of this mighty institution, our beloved University President, Dr. Fay Lea Patria Lauraya. During the President’s Moments and Melodies, we joyfully celebrated the life, the love, the leadership, and the legacy of our birthday celebrator, our dear President Fay.
Showcasing UNC’s BEST Practices
We witnessed UNC’s best practices in the afternoon of the April 20 kick-off festivity. One of the most vital aspirations of the University of Nueva Caceres is to be the best Outcome-Based Education (OBE) University in the region. In support of this, the Outcome-Based Education - Continuous Quality Improvement or OBE - CQI Team launched UNC’s first Best Educational Services and Transformations (BEST) Practices 2022. This insightful activity aims to showcase excellent teaching methods, techniques, and best practices of the different University departments and offices in delivering their instruction in remote learning and blended learning, supporting the well-being, and improving the delivery of delightful experiences to our stakeholders. During the BEST 2022, UNC launched its fresh, more user-friendly, and future-ready school website bearing a special countdown for UNC’s Diamond Jubilee.
Drumbeating the Diamond Jubilee
The historic Kick-Off Program officially set the stage and created the cornerstone for the great, grand, and glorious Diamond Jubilee of the University of Nueva Caceres come 2023. As we drumbeat our way to our Diamond Jubilee, fierce is the flame of our torches, and sweet is the sound of our trumpets. Heralding UNC at 75, we are even more earnest and eager to reflect our Motto – Not of School, But of Life. We are even more excited and enthusiastic to deliver our brand promise - Everybody Makes It. We are even more persistent and precise in proving that – At UNC, We Are Future-Ready. We are even more poised and primed to be the top university of choice for Bicolanos everywhere. The University of Nueva Caceres, the first University in Bicol, will soon be a Diamond University. All glory belongs to God!
