University conducts review cum seminar for pre-service teachers

VIRAC, Catanduanes --- The Catanduanes State University-College of Education conducted a Pre-service Teacher Development Seminar for fourth year education students as part of their course requirements. It was held at the school’s auditorium on September 21, 2022.


The activity was held to help the students gain a comprehensive understanding on the following fields of teaching which are included in the forthcoming Licensure Examination for Teachers.

Dr. Conchita V. Yumol, guest lecturer, discussed child and adolescent learners, learning principles and facilitating learner-centered teaching while Mr. Jayson D. Reyes tackled teaching profession in general.


Meanwhile, Dr. Maria Sheila R. Gregorio, Dean of the College of Education said that the seminar would help the students to update their knowledge on the topics that they missed when the pandemic was at its peak.


She also expressed gratitude to the organizers of the activity and the lecturers who selflessly imparted their knowledge on their specific subject matters. She also thanked the school’s senior officers, program officers, and advisers for the successful conduct of the seminar.


The university’s College of Education continues to keep its mandate of providing quality education to aspiring facilitators of learning. (PIA5-Catanduanes)
