LEGAZPI CITY --- The Police Regional Office-Bicol (PRO-5) has arrested 130 wanted persons during two days of Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO) across the region early this week.

Lt. Col. Maria Luisa Calubaquib, PRO5 spokesperson, said Thursday the apprehended individuals during the Monday and Tuesday operations include 19 most wanted persons in the city and municipal levels and 111 other wanted persons.

They are facing various charges such as murder and rape, she said.

“SACLEO intends to reduce the number of crimes in various communities through the implementation of arrest and search warrants for known criminal personalities. This resulted from the 124 police operations conducted by the police regionwide,” Calubaquib said in a statement.

She said Brig. Gen. Rudolph Dimas, PRO-5 regional director, lauded the efforts of the operating teams and assured the public of the police’s ongoing anti-criminality operations in support of the Chief Philippine National Police’s peace and security framework towards attaining progress in the region.
