PERSONAL grudges led to separate hacking incidents in the towns of Tinambac and Del Gallego, Camarines Sur, which resulted in the deaths of two victims.

In Barangay Tierra Nevada, Tinambac, Henry Fria, 35, was hacked to death by his brother, Michael, 31, around midnight on Saturday, Apr. 24.

Police Sr. M/SGt. Jesus Philip Nachor, investigator of the Tinambac Municipal Police Station told Bicol Mail that Michael, with a disability on his left leg, hacked his older brother on the neck at Sitio Quinale in Tierra Nevada village.

Nachor said the suspect could have been charged for homicide for the killing of his brother, but their family decided not to file charges against him. He added that the motive of the hacking incident was a serious misunderstanding.

On the same day at 3:00 PM in Barangay Tabion, Del Gallego town, Emmanuel Rustria, 58, of Barangay Sinuknipan was hacked to death by brothers Mario Timba, 33 and Sonny Timba, 30, both from Barangay Tabion.

Police SSgt Jefferson Francia, investigator on case, said the suspects, under the influence of alcohol, hacked the victim to death.

Francia said the victim suffered hack wounds in the head, neck, chest, and stomach, causing his intestines to come out.

He confirmed that the motive of the suspects in killing the victim was their deep seated anger against the latter. The suspects, which are under police custody, will be charged for the crime of murder.
