PDEA seizes P6M worth of shabu in Milaor town
By Juan Escandor Jr. NAGA CITY---The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency confiscated an estimated P6-M worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride (or shabu) during an enforcement of search warrant at a residence just in front of the police station in the town of Milaor, about five kilometers from this city. PDEA Agent Noe Brigel said the confiscated one kilo of shabu was found in the residence of sibling McNiel and Tristan, all surnamed Abines, after the composite team of PDEA agents and policemen enforced the search warrant issued by Executive Judge Pablo Fomaran of Regional Trial Court in Naga City. Brigel said it took them one-month surveillance of the suspected drug pushers before applying for the search warrant which was finally carried out at around 9 p.m. last Sunday. He said aside from the Abineses, four other persons including Ivan Soreta, Meland Cabase, Bobby Pequit and Ben Araojo who were inside the residence at Diaz St. corner Ibarlin St. in Barangay Del Rosario in Milaor town in Camarines Sur. Brigel said the house of the Abineses is being used as a drug den and the four other persons suspected to be users were also arrested. He said the shabu find is the biggest so far the PDEA confiscated this year in Camarines Sur.
