4 dead in 3-vehicle collision


By Juan Escandor Jr. NAGA CITY--- Four persons were crashed to death when a tricycle, bus and trailer truck collided past 8:00 p.m. Tuesday (April 4) along the national road in Barangay Ayugan, Ocampo, Camarines Sur, the local police reported yesterday (Wednesday) morning. Ocampo Police Chief Insp. Stephen Cabaltera identified the victims who died on the spot as Ricardo Arce, the driver of the tricycle, and his passengers, namely: Dominick Brandes, Mark Patrick Nicko Molina, and Frederick Ace Henry Arce. Cabaltera said the tricycle driven by Ricardo Arce with three passengers was heading south to the town of Pili, Camarines Sur when it overtook the trailer truck and collided head-on with Florencia Bus moving from the opposite direction. He said due to the impact, the tricycle driver and a passenger were instantly crashed on the road while the two other passengers were run over by the trailer truck. Cabaltera said the police immediately took custody of Antonio Aguedan, the driver of the bus, and Diolito Reambonanza, the driver of the truck. The vehicles they were driving were also accordingly impounded pending investigation. The bodies of the victims were brought to Bayrante Funeral Homes at the town center of Ocampo.
