Give Uson a chance, Bb. Pilipinas Universe says

By Juan Escandor Jr. PILI, Camarines Sur---While the appointment of Mocha Uson as assistant secretary of the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) gathered negative reactions from several personalities including another beauty queen, the newly-crowned Bb. Pilipinas Universe, Rachel Peters, wants to give Uson a “chance.” Peters, during the press conference held Saturday (May 13) at Villa del Rey in the Camsur Water Sports Complex (CWC) here, gave her reaction when asked what is her take on the ‘controversial’ appointment of the former sexy singer turned political blogger supporting President Duterte. “Well, she hasn’t started yet. And so, I believe everyone should be given a chance. You cannot judge a book by its cover -- something I am always taught by my parents and instilled in my mind,” she quipped. Peters thinks that “we should trust in our President and trust that it’s him (who) knows what is best for our country.” A Filipino-British model, she represented Camarines Sur in the recently concluded 2017 Bb. Pilipinas beauty pageant whose mother is from Canaman, Camarines Sur married to a British national. Peters said she has been staying in Camarines Sur since 2014 helping her boyfriend Camarines Sur Gov. Miguel “Migz” Luis Villafuerte in his humanitarian work like distributing aids during calamities. Revealing some trivia and anecdotes about their lives, the Bb. Pilipinas-Universe narrated that she met the governor in 2014 during the Kaogma Festival but she initially did not feel for him, she said. “It was not love at first sight. He was very persistent and now I love his big heart and I like his work as governor helping the province” she said. Villafuerte said he also loves his girlfriend because she also has big heart for poor people.
