Bicol business Month 2017 reels off July 4 at SM Naga


NAGA CITY --- Undersecretary and head of the Regional Operations Group of the Department of Trade and Industry Zenaida Maglaya will deliver the Inspiration Message during the opening of the much-awaited Bicol Business Month on Tuesday next week, July 4, with the unveiling and cutting of ribbon of the Trade Fair and Best of Bicol exhibits at 4:00 p.m. at the SM City Naga Activity Center. The program and cutting of ribbon will be preceded by a motorcade along the major streets of the city. The trade fair and exhibits, frontlined by the Department of Agriculture, BFAR, Naga Grow Negosyo, and a host of private entrepreneurs will run from July 4 to 9 at the SM City Naga Activity Center. This year’s trade exhibits will be highlighted by the launching of the ASPIRE (Agribusiness Support for Promotion of Investment Regional Expo) of the Department of Agriculture, with an extended trade fair and Best of Bicol exhibits on July 11-15 at the same venue. The welcome address will be given by President Gilbert Albero of the Metro Naga Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI), to be followed shortly by the message of Mayor John Bongat. This year’s chairman of the Bicol Business Month, Ferdinand Sia will give an overview of the month-long activity which is anchored by the theme “Building Bigger Milestones.” Band music will be provided by the University of Nueva Caceres Marching Band, Invocation by the Naga City Hall Chorale, and Intermission Number by the Trio of the Camarines Sur National High School. Barbie Louise Camille Resoles will be the master of ceremonies. The Bicol Business Month, transforming from the ten-year old Bicol Business Week that started in 2005, is now on its third year roll providing a window for the investment potentials, not only of Metro Naga, but of the Bicol Region as well, showcasing the best of Bicol products and services, and sharing information on how to do business in Naga and Bicol, the services available to entrepreneurs, and the demands that may be found attractive and viable to investors. The Bicol Business Month is an annual business activity fueled by close collaboration between the MNCCI and the City Government of Naga, with various agencies as partners, such as DTI, Department of Agriculture, BFAR, DOST, DOLE, TESDA, universities and colleges, hotels and culinary schools, the KBP and members of the local media, and the business sector.
