Highlight events at BBM 2017 continue
NAGA CITY --- As the ongoing Bicol Business Month (BBM) heads to its final two weeks, more highlight events are waiting to unfold. The annual BBM is a joint undertaking of the Metro Naga Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the City Government of Naga, in collaboration with various agencies, in celebration of the economic dynamism obtaining in Bicol and the Metro Naga area. Ferdinand ‘Dondon’ Sia, chair of this year’s Bicol Business Month, said this coming Friday alone, Productivity 101 Seminar, through the Employers Confederation of the Philippines (Ecop), will open at 8:00 a.m. at Royale Emelina (infront of City Hall), while the Car Show will be unveiled at Plaza Quezon at 9:00 a.m. of the same day. E-Jay Guazon, Car Show Chair, said the 3-day free admission event will be participated in by the country’s leading car brands whose dealership and service centers are based in Naga and Pili, Camarines Sur. There will also be a showcase of vintage and fancy cars by auto enthusiasts, aside from nightly band concerts and fun and entertainment at the site of the venue. On Saturday, at 8:00 a.m., the whole day Bicol Business Youth Summit, being spearheaded by Bicol Bloggers with the support of the Office of City Councilor Ray-Ann Rentoy and Sen. Ba, Aquino, will kick off at Naga Regent Hotel. On Monday next week will be the Women’s Congress at Villa Caceres Hotel and P3 (Pondo sa Pagbabago at Pag-Asenso) Seminar by the Department of Trade and Industry at the PSO Blue Room, City Hall along J. Miranda Avenue. The much-awaited Bicol Culinary Congress will take place on Wednesday (July 26) next week at Avenue Plaza Hotel with various colleges and culinary arts schools participating, event chair Leanne Zuniga Montemayor announced. Also at Avenue Plaza Hotel on the same day will be the Solar (Renewable Energy) Forum being chaired by MNCCI Director Alfredo Perdon. At least five more major events are expected to take place next week. These are: Technology Forum on Good Manufacturing Practices and Safety for Food Processors to be conducted by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) on July 27 at the Bicol State College of Applied Science and Technology (BISCAST) along Penafrancia Avenue; 8th Regional Cosmetologie on July 28-29 at the Naga City People’s Hall with famous cosmetologist Fanny Serrano as guest of honor and Miles Lim-Solis as event chair; Taxation Seminar on July 29, at San Fernando Hall, Ateneo de Naga University; the colorful and elegant Halyao Awards, also on July 29, at Avenue Convention Plaza; and the MNCCI 30th Foundation Anniversary on July 30 at Villa Caceres Hotel as culminating activity.
