Ina nin Peñafrancia mobile app, available soon

By Julma Narvadez To promote the devotion to Our Lady of Peñafrancia, the Archdiocese of Caceres, through the Caceres Commission on Communications (CCCom), is developing a mobile app that will support both Android and iOS. With mobile technology becoming a necessity, the CCCom believes that the app will be an effective means to reach out to more communities. The free mobile app is expected to be available this September. The app includes the rosary, novena and other prayers, in Bikol and in English, to give smartphone users easy access to these prayers. The Order of the Mass as well as the schedule of masses and confessions during this year’s festivities will help devotees fully participate in the liturgical activities. Also included are the devotion’s history, personal testimonies of devotees and a guide for pilgrims, to provide more information about the devotion. As devotees are in various continents across the globe, the app hopes to unite them as a community in prayer.
