NPS is 8th St. Paul National Bible Quiz Regional Champion

By Sr. Lou Ranara, FSP The Regional Finals of the St. Paul National Bible Quiz was held last July 30, 2017 at the SM City of Naga. 14 schools qualified for this event, 7 were taken from the elimination round at Divine Word College in Legazpi and another 7 were taken from the elimination round at the Holy Rosary Minor Seminary in Naga City held last July 29. Each team from the participating schools is composed of three contestants who worked together to answer the easy, average and difficult questions from the Old Testament, Gospels and Letters. There was a close fight between the Holy Rosary Minor Seminary and the Naga Parochial School (NPS) though the latter has been consistently on top, from the easy round until the end of the contest. Eventually, NPS emerged as the Regional Champion, the Holy Rosary Minor Seminary won second prize and St. Agnes Academy won third place. Lastly, the Best K+ Word Essay was awarded to Sophia Leigh Cambare, a junior high school student at the Ateneo de Naga University. NPS will represent the Bicol Region at the Battle of the Champions from the different regions across the country on September 16, 2017 at the SMX SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City.
