Earthquake jolts Legazpi City


By Mar S. Arguelles LEGAZPI CITY --- A 2.6 magnitude earthquake jolted this city at around 3:01 PM Tuesday, the Phillippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said. Phivolcs bulletin said the quake was of tectonic origin, located at 15 kilometers North 21 degrees West of this city with a depth of 14 kilometers. No damage was reported although the tremor was felt in the city proper and neighboring towns of Daraga, Camalig and Sto Domingo. Earlier on Saturday night, series of earthquakes of tectonic origin hit Sto. Domingo town at around 7:34 p.m. with a Magnitude of 3.2, then followed by a 2.4 Magnitude quake in this city at around 9:20 p.m. and another 2.7 Magnitude earthquake at around 9:33 p.m. Saturday. No damage to public and private infrastructure were reported.
