Caceres mourns the death of Fr. Stanislaus Chin

By Fr. Louie Occiano In a circular issued by Caceres Archbishop Rolando J. Tria Tirona, OCD, DD, the Local Church of Caceres, announced the passing away of + REV. FR. STANISLAUS LIU CHIN, Incardinated Priest in the Archdiocese of Caceres. He died last Nov. 12, 2017 at the Philippine Heart Center, East Avenue, Quezon City. He was eighty eight years old. +Fr. Chin was born to Mr. Joseph Chin and Mrs. Maria Liu on April 19, 1929 in Suzhou, China. He took his Elementary Education at Xavier School and his Secondary Studies at the Aurora High School in China. He finished his Tertiary Education at the University of Sto. Tomas, Manila; and his Philosophical and Theological Studies at the St. Michael Minor Seminary in China and St. Joseph Chinese Seminary in Mandaluyong, Rizal, respectively. He was ordained a priest on March 1, 1958 at Sta. Cruz, Manila. He was one of the founders of St. Joseph School and former Director and Principal of the said School. He was laid to rest Nov. 18 at the Resurrection Garden of the Holy Rosary Major Seminary. May the soul of +Fr. Chin, through the prayers and Holy Masses offered with the faithful, rejoice forever in the vision of the Lord, to whom he has faithfully given himself for the service of the Church.
