Honest taxi driver returns lost phone

By Armie B. Gunay NAGA CITY --- Once again, the city government here gave honor to another honest Nagueño during the flag ceremony at the City Hall complex here last Monday, Jan. 15. Noel Marquises, a taxi driver from Barangay Balatas, this city, received a certificate of commendation from Mayor John G. Bongat for his act of honesty after he returned a cellular phone left by a passenger inside his taxi unit. Finding a phone inside his taxi, Marquises went back to SM taxi bay where he picked his passenger. Just in time, the taxi dispatcher informed him that the owner of the phone was at the vicinity hoping that somebody found his phone. The owner of the mobile phone was identified as Mr. Karl Llorin, a faculty member of the Ateneo de Naga University. According to Marquises, it was not the first time that he had returned personal items left in his taxi.
