New MNWD Director

NAGA CITY --- The new year shines brightly for the Metropolitan Naga Water District (MNWD) as it announces the confirmation of its new member of the Board of Directors, Director Agileo Michael Roces Pauig. Mike, as he is more popularly known, represents the Civic Sector, being active in civic organizations here in Naga City. He served as president of the Rotary Club of Naga, who endorsed his directorship, Naga Parochial School Parents Council, Jardin Real Home Owners Association, and Camarines Sur Medical Society Auxiliary. He is also a member of the Isarog Garden Society, an execom member of the Ms. Bicolandia committee, and was installed as the first Hermano Mayor Our Lady of Penafrancia Basilica Minore. Contrary to people’s notions, Mike is half-Bicolano by blood. His mother is from the Roces clan of Legazpi City and Sorsogon. It is his father who is from Northern Luzon. He is married to the lovely Gemma Imelda Morano Pauig, a physician. They have one son named Yusof. Director Mike brings to the MNWD his many years of experience in moving and shaking the world as a civic leader, a business development manager, and a philanthropist. He is presently connected with Mead Johnson Nutrition Philippines as Senior Business Development Manager for Bicol Region. The new director likes to spend his free time keeping fit by running and on set days of the week, he can be seen with children from the marginalized sector of society, part of his various and unsung charity works. “My appointment as Director is to represent the Civic Sector until Dec. 31, 2018 to complete the term of Director Aquiles Lo who retired last year. I was endorsed by Rotary Club of Naga for the position,” he shared. “As of now, my advocacy is transparency and accountability and to protect the interest and welfare of the consumer,” his answer when asked about his foremost plan as the newest member of the MNWD family. Dir. Mike is also tasked to assist the Public Relations and External Affairs Section (PREAS) under the Office of the General Manager.
