Resto supervisor killed over refusal to serve beer

By Juan Escandor Jr. NAGA CITY---Over refusal to serve beer to customers, a karaoke bar supervisor died early morning Sunday from stabbed wounds inflicted by the customer who was refused of his order that escalated to a knife attack. When the police finally responded and controlled the situation, one Jeric Recasio, 20, restaurant supervisor, was found blooded and brought to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival. Two other waiters were harmed but survived and brought to the hospital for treatment. SPO2 Tobias Bongon, spokesperson of the Naga City Police Office, identified Aaron Paul Creo Bas as the one who killed Recasio and injured the two waiters who were only identified as Francisco and Fernandez. The group of Bas, comprising his brothers Leo Angelo and Carlo Franco and two women identified as Bonita Dela Cruz and Lorna Tiaba, came inside the karaoke bar at 3:00 a.m. Sunday in Barangay Sta. Cruz located near the Naga City Police Office. Upon arrival, they ordered one bottle of jumbo Redhorse beer and were served but were advised by the waiter that it would be their first and last order because the bar closes at 5:00 a.m. But after consuming the first order of beer, the group demanded another order which was refused by waiter Francisco. Angered by the refusal, brothers Leo Angelo and Carlo Franco rushed towards Francisco, and then dragged and choked the waiter. Meanwhile, Aaron Paul attacked bar supervisor Recasio and chased him when he ran towards the toilet of the bar. Waiter Fernandez intervened with Leo Angelo and Carlo Franco who was attacking Francisco. Just when the commotion in the bar had been pacified, Francisco and Fernandez heard Recasio shouting that he was being stabbed inside the toilet. Francisco and Fernandez rushed to the toilet and saw Recasio blooded while Aaron Paul managed to ran away whom the two waiters pursued. The waiters caught up with Aaron Paul who started stabbing them and injuring them in their arms. But Fernandez who was also armed with bolo from the kitchen hit Aaron Paul and injured him. Both assailant and the two waiters were brought to Bicol Medical Center. While there, Fernandez and Francisco identified Aaron Paul as their assailant and the same person who stabbed to death Recasio. Bongon said the bar cashier named Jona Mae Sales testified to the police that two female companions of brothers Bas---Dela Cruz and Tabia---fled with the backpack owned by the dead restaurant supervisor which contained his wallet and cellular phone. He said the two women remain at-large on Monday.
