UNC set to honor 20 outstanding alumni

Neola COMPOSING this year’s elite roster of outstanding alumni of the University of Nueva Caceres’ College of Business and Accountancy (CBA) are 20 individuals who will be honored in fitting ceremonies on Saturday, February 17, this year. The list of awardees includes Bicol Mail publisher Nilo P. Aureus, a print media executive who operates his own printing press, Goldprint Publishing House. Aureus and 19 other honorees were thoroughly selected by the department’s screening and evaluation committee chaired by Prof. Wenifredo V. Efondo. The awarding rite is one of the highlight activities of the university’s 70th Foundation Anniversary celebration that recognizes its outstanding alumni for their exemplary achievements in their chosen field of endeavor. Cerila Sanchez, dean of the College of Business and Accountancy, said the awarding will be held at Villa Caceres Hotel at 6 o’clock in the evening. The other awardees are Emerita Rojo-Nollase, Floro R. Dante Jr., Lyndon Cosay Tan, Myrna P. Contreras, Dominic T. Papin, Neul Z. Enciso, Romeo R. De Vera III, Grace Dy-Olivan, Ariel B. Peña, Manolo B. Ilao, Lourdes Cabañas, Maria Sharon Lee Belleza-Reyes, Eddie S. Crescini, Miguel S. Dela Rosa, Marselle Uy-Olivan, Karmi Aileen M. Detera, Jose G. Dacudao Jr., Arlene Q. Alangco, and Alex S. Brioso. UNC President Alfredo Ayala will welcome the guests. The guest of honor, Rep. Karlo Alexei B. Nograles, chairman of the House Committee on Appropriations, will deliver an inspirational talk before the awarding of plaques.
