ADNU hosts fellowship dinner for new prexy

NAGA CITY --- The Ateneo de Naga University organized a Fellowship Dinner as one of the highlights of the school’s 19th University Day. The special event, held at the Multipurpose Room of the newly-built Fr Godofredo Alingal, SJ Hall, also served as an avenue for the new ADNU President Fr. Roberto E.N. Rivera, SJ to meet and greet the leaders and representatives of various schools, institutions, and associations in Bicol. In his address, Fr. Rivera gave a preview of his vision for the university. The new ADNU President said he aims to continue the tradition of academic excellence in the midst of the ever-changing landscape in the field of education, to push for more research and knowledge generation with Bicolano roots. Fr Rivera also aims to help nurture the Ateneo community and strengthen the relationship with its partner schools and institutions, as well as invite more people to respond to the vocation of education. Fr Rivera also articulated the mission of the Society of Jesus, described as the mission of reconciliation and justice, inviting kindred spirits to be instruments in responding to the current socio-political changes and challenges.
