Fr. Nono Nopre

+ Rev. Fr. Abundio Q. Nopre, Jr. has returned to our Lord last March 11, Saturday. He was 53 years old. He was born on August 18, 1964 to + Abundio P. Nopre, Sr. and Visitacion Quintela. + Fr. Nono, as he was fondly called, entered the Holy Rosary Major Seminary after having completed a degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Nueva Caceres. He was ordained a priest on November 19, 1994 at the Basilica Minore de Peñafrancia. His first assignment was at the St. Anne Parish in Magarao, as its Parochial Vicar, while his first assignment as Parish Priest was at the Parish of St. Joseph in Tamban, Tinambac in 2001. + Fr. Nono was also appointed as Co-Chairman of the Commission on the Construction and Conservation of Ecclesiastical Buildings in 2013. His last assignment as Parish Priest was at the St. Anthony de Padua Parish in Camaligan on June 2, 2014. In 2016, he became a member of the Committee on Paratukon and Boatmen on the occasion of the Peñafrancia Fiesta. + Fr. Nono will always be remembered as a dedicated priest, caring towards parish personnel and ministers, and a kind-hearted disciplinarian to altar servers. The concelebrated funeral mass will be on March 16, Friday, 2:00 PM at the Holy Rosary Major Seminary. Interment will follow at the Resurrection Garden of the said Seminary.
