By Edna Bagadiong VIRAC, Catanduanes --- A 2017 survey revealed that the College of Engineering (COE) of the Catanduanes State University (CSU) ranks 24 out of 269 colleges and universities offering the best undergraduate program in Civil Engineering in the Philippines. The Local Pulse Survey said that in ranking the schools, it took the weighted passing rates of two civil engineering licensure examinations, the number of examinees, and top performing examinees. The overall board exam performance, and faculty-student ratio and accreditation status of the program was also considered as other criteria. Meanwhile, the CSU College of Engineering got an overall rating of 58.83 in the ranking, with respective scores of 80 in overall board exam performance and 75 in faculty-student ratio. Dr. Minerva I. Morales, CSU President, expressed her appreciation to the College’s faculty and staff in making it on the upper rank nationwide and its continued effort to produce above-national average board passers and topnotchers.
