Napolcom searches for model PNP families
LEGAZPI CITY --- The National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) Regional Office No. 5 has initiated a region-wide information campaign on the 2018 Search for Model PNP Families, a major project of the National Crime Prevention Week-Technical Working Committee (NCPW-TWC), which will culminate during the 24th National Crime Prevention Week (NCPW) Celebration on the first week of September this year. The Search is a special incentive program for the police by the Commission through its NCPW-TWC, aims to recognize contributions that embody outstanding police families for exemplifying the concept of Community and Service-Oriented Policing (CSOP) System in their communities as well as demonstrating renewed leadership and effective community participation in addressing crime, violence and public safety problems. NAPOLCOM Regional Director Josephmar B. Gil, MPSA, CESO IV stressed that nomination was based on community services and involvement in their place of residence and area of assignment. The finalists for the 2018 Model PNP Families are: SPO4 Liza Jane Cañares Alteza, Chief, WCPD of Iriga City Police Station, Camarines Sur PPO; SPO1 Irenn Trajano Seletaria, PCR/WCPD PNCO of Polangui Municipal Police Station, Albay PPO and SPO1 Joseph T. Teope, Human Rights Advocates Office, PNCO/Assistant HRDD of Catanduanes PPO. After thorough deliberation, SPO4 Liza Jane Cañares Alteza from Iriga City Police Station was selected as the Regional Winner for this year’s 2018 Search for Model PNP Families for obtaining the highest score. SPO4 Alteza together with her family will be endorsed at the National Search Committee. The awarding of the top three (3) regional finalists together with their families will be announced and awarded during the 2018 National Crime Prevention Week (NCPW). They will be receiving a plaque of recognition and will also receive cash awards.
