MNCCI holds Q2 general membership, biz meeting
NAGA CITY --- Undersecretary Marvel Clavecilla, presidential assistant for Bicol affairs, will be the guest and honor and speaker in today’s 2nd quarter general membership meeting, business forum and induction of new members of the Metro Naga Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI). The program will start at 3:00 p.m. at the Avenue Plaza Hotel, according to MNCCI President Ferdinand Sia who will welcome the members and guests and preside over the meeting. City Mayor John Bongat will deliver his message and at the same time present to the chamber members the latest developments in the city’s business landscape and may answer questions, along with USec Clavecilla, during the open forum. At the business meeting, a product presentation will be given by a marketing officer of the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI). The MNCCI is Bicol’s biggest local chamber which has been installed in the Hall of Fame of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) for having been selected as an outstanding local chamber of trade and commerce for three consecutive years throughout the country, an honor that was earned so far by only two other chambers, such as the chambers of commerce of Cebu and Davao. Next month, the MNCCI, along with the City Government of Naga and other partner agencies from both the public and private sectors, will be jointly hosting the 4th edition of the Bicol Business Month (originally Bicol Business Week that it was for 10 years) and the 14th annual Halyao Awards that give tribute to the year’s outstanding Bicolano businesspersons from the region’s six provinces and outstanding young Bicolano entrepreneur. jbp
