5 drug suspects nabbed

Arguelles LEGAZPI CITY --- Anti-narcotics operatives collared on Thursday last week (June 14) five suspected illegal drug pushers in separate drug-bust operations in the provinces of Camarines Sur and Camarines Norte, according to the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Bicol. Arrested were Expedito Bunag alias Atong a High Value Target (HVT) and a member of the Kaka Malonso Drug Group and Jurhel Balane, 20, both from Daet, Camarines Norte; Ernie Atcheco, 33, single, a drug surrenderee of Milaor, Camarines Sur; Ruel Ibarreta, 38, single of Iriga City: and Dante Badong, 46, married of Naga City , Police Senior Inspector Maria Luisa Calubaquib said. Seized from the suspects were two medium-sized transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu or crystal myth and three small sachets of suspected shabu. The arrest of Bunag occurred at around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday while the other suspects were nabbed early morning of Thursday. The suspects did not resist arrest during the buy-bust operation, Calubaquib said.
