Productivity and wages to be tackled in workshop
NAGA CITY --- Business owners, as well as employees and workers, have been invited to “Usapang 2Ps: Pasahod and Productivity,” a whole day seminar and workshop that will help assist business enterprises in the region to boost their business performance, reduce unnecessary costs and wastes, improve the quality and delivery of products and services, and increase both the company’s and employees’ income. One of the activities of the ongoing Bicol Business Month, the activity will also seek to strengthen public information campaign on the wage and productivity programs of the government. OIC Regional Director Rovelinda de la Rosa of the Department of Labor and Employment Bicol Office will give the program overview of the seminar workshop that will take place on July 28 at Carmen Hotel in downtown Naga. “Usapang 2Ps: Pasahod and Productivity” is pursuant to the Memorandum of Understanding on productivity Toolbox and Two-Tiered Wage System entered into between the Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP)/Metro Naga Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI) on one hand, and the National Wages and productivity Commission (NWPC) and the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity V (RTWPB V), on the other. The expected output of the activity is to showcase the programs and services of the NWPC/RTWPB relative to wages and productivity. MNCCI President Ferdinand Sia will welcome the participants who will come from the various business establishments in the Metro Naga area. ECOP-Bicol President and PCCI Regional Governor for Bicol Clarine P. Tobias will give the closing remarks after the Productivity Toolbox, Incentivising Performance Schemes, and Q&A Cliniquing shall have been successfully tackled by the participants.
