5 drug suspects fall

Arguelles LEGAZPI CITY --- Anti-narcotics operatives rounded up and collared on Saturday five suspected drug personalities in a drug operation in Barangay Lahong, Baleno town in Masbate, a police report said. Avelino Malaet, Sr., his wife Sheryll, Joaquin Carlota Jr., Herbert Esquilona and Marly Magalang were arrested by police operatives on a strength of a search warrant issued by a local court in Masbate City for illegal drug possession, according to Police Senior Inspector Maria Luisa Calubaquib, PNP Bicol spokesperson. Calubaquib said the search warrant was served simultaneously at around 3:00 a.m Saturday at the residences of the suspects. Recovered from the search were several plastic sachets containing suspected shabu (crystal meth). The suspects whose names are on the police drug watch list and are now confined at the town police jail.
