More ‘shabu’ peddlers fall

LEGAZPI CITY --- Anti-narcotics operatives nabbed at least five suspected illegal drug pushers and seized from them P453,600 worth of suspected shabu during separate drug operations in the cities of Legazpi and Naga, a police report said over the weekend.
Arrested on Thursday afternoon were Christian Tan alias Ian/Putol, Jhoper Blanca alias Jhopz/JP, and Eloxor Blanca alias Ambu, all residents of Barangay Peñaranda of this city. They were held on the strength of a search warrant according to Police Chief Inspector Maria Luisa Calubaquib PNP Bicol spokesperson.
In Naga City, one Dennis Chiu 37, married of Barangay Concepcion Pequena, and Jeric Buñag, 41, married of Barangay Triangulo, were arrested on Friday, Sept. 21, in a drug buy-bust operation, the police spokesperson said.
Calubaqquib said the raid in the house of Tan at around 3:00 p.m. Thursday yielded 25 grams of suspected shabu contained in eight transparent plastic sachets with street value of P183,600.00.
The raid at Blanca’s residence, on the other hand, took place at around 4:00 p.m. Thursday where anti-narcotics operatives seized 11 pieces of heat sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 25 grams worth P170,000.00 and several drug paraphernalia.
Chiu is the owner of Red Cactus Resto Bar along Magsaysay Avenue here. He was caught selling suspected shabu worth P100,000 to an undercover narco-operatives inside his resto bar at around 12:24 a.m Friday.
Bunag was nabbed while selling a heat sealed plastic sachet containing suspected shabu to a police poseur buyer during a drug-buy bust operation in Barangay Triangulo, Naga City at around 3:54 a.m. Friday.
