Pops, Mom, son held for shabu

LEGAZPI CITY ---- Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agents seized on Monday night P210,000 worth of suspected shabu and arrested a family of three during a drug raid in Barangay Bitano, this city, an official of PDEA in Bicol said.

Husband and wife William and Elvira Chua and their son Eric Ian were arrested at their residence in Purok 1 Barangay Bitano, Christian Frivaldo, PDEA acting regional director, said on Tuesday.

The PDEA agents, armed with a search warrant, swooped down at around 8:30 p.m Monday at the suspect’s residence. Some 35 grams of suspected shabu with a street value of P210,000 were seized from the suspects.

Frivaldo said the Chua family has been considered as high-value targets (HVT) and are included in the PDEA illegal drug watch list.

The suspects who are currently locked up at the PDEA Bicol detention center will be presented before the court for inquest proceedings.
