Drug peddler in Naga nabbed

Arguelles LEGAZPI CITY --- Anti-drug operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) collared on Sunday a suspected high-value drug peddler and seized from him P340,000 worth of suspected shabu, a PDEA Bicol top official said on Monday. Arrested was Alvin Chan, 27, a resident of Barangay Mabolo, Naga city, according to Christian Frivaldo PDEA Bicol regional director. Combined elements of PDEA Camarines Sur Provincial Office, Naga City Police Drug Enforcement Unit, Naga City Police Office, NBI NAGDO and 97th MICO conducted the buy-bust operation on Sunday in Barangay Mabolo, Naga City that led to the suspect’s arrest. In a report submitted to Aaron N. Aquino, PDEA Director General, Frivaldo, said the suspect had been subject of surveillance after his name was put in the list of the agency’s high-value target (HVT). Information gathered said that suspect used to source his supply from an uncle who is a detainee at the New Bilibid Prison. The suspect will be charged for violation of Section 5 (Sale) of Article II, the Republic Act 9165, or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
