Explosives found buried near highway
NAGA CITY --- A farmer, Edison Biore, 43, of Libmanan, Camarines, while working in the field last Tuesday, Oct. 30, found the lifeless body of his 4-year old son floating in the wet muddy field, apparently due to drowning. He was rushed to the district hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival by attending physicians.
In Sagnay, Camarines Sur, also on Oct. 30, joint elements of the regional, provincial and municipal police found and recovered explosives and Improvised Explosive Detonating (IED) materials buried in Sitio Pulang Daga, Bgy. Turague of this town, some 15 meters from the highway. The deadly weapons and explosives include: 3 units of rifle grenade, and one unit each of MK2 hand grenade, IED, and I roll of black wire. The weapons were apparently meant for ambush at opportune time, police said.
